We have over 25 years combined experience in the constantly evolving industry of web development, and are always working to ensure we provide the very latest standards and features to our clients.
We also understand that every project is unique, and so we are well equipped to meet our clients specific needs, from small promotional websites, to content managed company websites and even large scale bespoke eCommerce solutions and cloud based systems.
From our rich project history, we feel like we’ve worked on most kinds of development projects over the years, using a varied collection of core systems (like WordPress and Magento), as well designing the architecture for new systems – and we’re always eager to meet a new challenge.
All our development is underpinned by the latest approved frameworks, including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, PHP and MySQL. We ensure all of our websites offer the best in usability, interaction and data driven content.
Web design is not only about looking pretty. It needs to be functional, have a great user experience (UX) and, of course, return results. When we start to design your website we’ll consider the latest design trends and deliver a creative look that works with your branding and companies beliefs but we’ll also deliver with built in site SEO, the UX side of things along with a great understanding of the principals behind building a successful website.
We love WordPress. In fact, we think it is such a great content management system (CMS), that it is usually our first recommendation for system builds for many types of websites (often for e-commerce too, with WooCommerce).
WordPress is a brilliant open source (free) framework, providing probably the best content management system and website builder available today. Over 60million websites around the world are built using this framework and it is easy to understand why, offering intuitive and comprehensive content management for websites, meaning website managers can control their website, adding and updating content with ease.
From a developers perspective, the framework is highly customisable, meaning we are able develop bespoke “plugins” capable of adding additional functionality to the core system, meaning additional information and custom features can be added to websites as per designs and the clients requirements. In past developments, we have built plugins ranging from social media integrations, custom content types (such as company case studies) and advanced image displays such as slideshows and carousels.
WordPress also benefits from a wealth of available 3rd party plugins which can offer tried and tested additional functionality that are used by millions of WordPress installations. Even so, we are very selective over the 3rd party plugins we use in our developments, only ever choosing to include them if the development has been done to a high enough standard and proven by extended use across a large number of WordPress installs worldwide.
Although we champion often WordPress, we are also aware that in many case, the requirements of the client and the system design, a custom built framework is the best possible solution.
Although bespoke system frameworks can be more expensive than using a pre-built system (such as WordPress), they offer complete flexibility in terms of scope and functionality. Primarily, we offer bespoke system builds as the best option when building internal user systems, such as cloud based intranets or highly customisable database management systems.
Bespoke systems are designed from scratch, so it is important that all the details of a system are confirmed before full development can commence, which we do by consultation with the client, but the results can be a much more adaptable and responsive system, fitting the clients needs exactly.
Online trade specifically from e-commerce has reached over £150bn a year in Europe (2015). With e-commerce being such a large part of modern business, it is important to be able to offer products online if you don’t already, or to look at updating and streamlining your service if you have been running e-commerce for years.
At Feel Created, we have over 15 years combined experience working with e-commerce, having designed and developed many bespoke e-commerce websites for small independent business to large companies with annual online turnovers exceeding £50m. We have worked with a range of pre-built systems including Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce for WordPress. We have also built bespoke systems from scratch.
