Feel Created Lead Developer Named Digital Champion of the Year
Lead developer at Feel Created, Daniel Clark, has been named Digital Champion of the Year at the Third Sector Awards 2022. Dan pipped the National Trust's Katherine Woollard, highly commended in the same category, to the top spot.
Dan was recognised by the judges for his work on Learning English in Yorkshire and the Humber (LEYH) and accompanying Learning English Plus (LE+) site. LEYH helps migrant learners in Yorkshire and the Humber to locate suitable local classes, while LE+ supports English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) professionals with ESOL resources.
LEYH and LE+ were developed in partnership with the Migrant English Support Hub (MESH) with funding from Migration Yorkshire. Dan was instrumental in supporting the MESH team in securing additional funding to extend the project’s scope and continue development.
Digitally developing a small charity requires a high degree of trust when working with technology partners. We appreciate Dan’s support and straightforward approach, and we’re thrilled he has won this award!
“Dan has helped me (and everyone else of course) to build up the business to something we're both really proud of. Dan is a great chap, very supportive, and absolutely brilliant at his job. So, I'm extremely pleased he's got the credit he more than deserves with this. Well done, Dan - we’re all very proud of you!”
Acting as an extended member of the MESH team, Dan has provided suggestions for continual improvement throughout the longstanding relationship between Feel Created and MESH. Following the launch of the two websites, data capture exercises are now helping to inform the project’s next stages.
The Third Sector Awards programme recognises the achievements of charities of all sizes, providing a platform for examples of good practice in the sector. Winners were announced at an awards ceremony at The Brewery, London, on Friday 30th September 2022. The full list of winners can be viewed here.
