ACT 360 immersive Spaces by Igloo Vision wins EdTech Cool Tool Award 2023

"We're thrilled that ACT 360 Immersive Spaces has been recognised with this award. Our contribution to the project was a custom CMS that allowed staff at three sites to edit and upload content to separate Igloo immersive spaces easily. We were originally asked to produce static graphics, but the CMS route offered a much more engaging and flexible solution."

The ACT spaces are powered by Igloo Vision software with potential uses being lesson delivery, student project display and virtual ‘field-trip’ style teaching experiences. The rooms give students and staff a way to interact with immersive content without being cut off from each other by VR headsets.

"The CMS element of the project has been so well received that we were commissioned to complete a second project for Franklin College. We'll utilise the CMS to create dynamic, engaging content that flows seamlessly. As far as I know, this is the first time a CMS has been used to interact with an immersive environment, and it was a welcome challenge for our team of technical experts."
