We designed and built a custom WordPress content management system (CMS), incorporating the Gutenberg block editing feature. The Gutenberg feature enabled college staff to update the CMS easily within a branded framework. Custom prospectus builder functionality was introduced to the build, allowing users to select and download the course information that applied to them. The underlying framework and additional advanced functionality were seamlessly tied together in a cohesive design that stayed true to college branding.

It's pretty much essential that content can be updated in-house nowadays. We built a system that was simple to update by college staff. The solution supports various media types. Adding videos, imagery and stats was made easy and consistent by allowing editors to select pre-branded 'blocks'. Most clients come to us complaining that creating the dynamic pages they desire with their existing system is impossible. In this build, we gave college staff full autonomy over content updates. The system offered a high level of flexibility.

However, in this instance, college staff chose to return to us for content updates – this can be arranged for all clients on an hourly, daily or retainer basis.

The final custom WordPress solution allowed college content editors to update content, creating new pages and page elements with ease. In addition, the custom prospectus builder is easily managed, allowing administrators to add, edit and remove subjects as they wish. The only reliance on us as a partner is for hosting and maintenance, and college staff can make daily updates. Although we work with the college to provide ad hoc support, they prefer that we update their news stories, for example. 

We've designed several websites for colleges and, more recently, the University of Liverpool. However, we don't just build portfolio-based sites. Recent projects have included the creation of a CMS to support an immersive experience and campaign asset creation for social media. We're proud that many clients have returned to us after their website build for additional digital support.
