Our commitment to accessibility

Feel Created is committed to making our website usable and accessible to as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have access needs relating to vision, hearing, mobility, cognition or other disabilities.

We aim to consider accessibility throughout the design, development and ongoing maintenance of our website, rather than treating it as a one-off exercise.

The standard we aim to meet

We aim to design and maintain our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA in mind.

WCAG provides internationally recognised guidance for making websites and digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities and access needs.

As the website has not been formally audited against every applicable WCAG 2.2 success criterion, this statement should not be interpreted as a claim that every page or feature is fully WCAG 2.2 AA compliant.

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we continue to review and improve the website as content, technology and standards evolve.

What we aim to support

When designing, developing and maintaining the website, we aim to support:

  • clear page structures and logical heading hierarchies;
  • keyboard access to interactive elements wherever practicable;
  • readable typography and appropriate colour contrast;
  • responsive layouts that work across different screen sizes and zoom levels;
  • meaningful alternative text for informative images where appropriate;
  • clear labels and instructions for forms and interactive controls;
  • visible focus states for keyboard users;
  • content that does not rely solely on colour, motion or visual position to communicate meaning;
  • captions, transcripts or other alternatives for important video or audio content where reasonably practicable and where we control the content;
  • compatibility with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies where reasonably possible.

Forms and interactive features

We aim to make website forms and interactive features clear and straightforward to use.

Where possible, form fields are provided with appropriate labels, instructions and error messages to help users understand what information is required and how to correct any problems.

If you experience difficulty using a form on our website, please contact us and we will provide an alternative way to submit the information where reasonably possible.

Images and media

We aim to provide meaningful alternative text for images that communicate important information.

Decorative images may not include alternative text where doing so would add unnecessary information for users of assistive technologies.

Where we publish important video or audio content that we control, we aim to provide captions, transcripts or another suitable alternative where reasonably practicable.

Third-party content

Some parts of our website may include content or functionality supplied by third parties, including services such as YouTube and Vimeo.

We do not always have direct control over the accessibility of third-party interfaces, video players, embedded content or external platforms.

Where third-party content creates a significant accessibility barrier, we will consider whether a reasonable alternative can be provided.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not always meet the level of accessibility we aim to achieve.

Accessibility issues can arise because of:

  • older website content;
  • third-party plugins or embedded services;
  • documents or media supplied by third parties;
  • changes to browsers, devices or assistive technologies;
  • new features or content that have not yet been fully reviewed.

Where we become aware of a significant accessibility issue, we will consider what reasonable steps can be taken to address it.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project.

We review the website as it develops and aim to improve accessibility when we introduce new pages, features, content or technology.

We also welcome feedback from users, as real-world experience can identify barriers that automated testing or internal reviews may not detect.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of our website, please let us know.

You can contact us at:

Email: hello@feelcreated.com
Telephone: 01924 802 185

It is helpful if you can tell us:

  • the page or feature you were trying to use;
  • what problem you experienced;
  • the browser or device you were using; and
  • any assistive technology you were using, if relevant.

We will review the issue and, where reasonably possible, work to address the barrier or provide the information in an alternative format.

Alternative formats

If you need information from our website in a different format because of an accessibility requirement, please contact us.

Where reasonably possible, we will work with you to provide the information in a suitable alternative format.

Feedback

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website.

If you have suggestions about how we could make the website easier to use, please contact us at hello@feelcreated.com.

Changes to this statement

We may update this accessibility statement as the website, our services, accessibility standards or relevant guidance change.

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated date.
